Lokset® is the most trusted brand used for resin capsule anchoring systems.
Specifically designed to increase bolting safety, permanence and efficiency, Lokset® consist of accurately measured easily handled cartridges, containing a highly reinforced polyester resin mastic together with an organic peroxide catalyst.
The two components are isolated from each other by a physical barrier which prevents reaction between the components until the moment of mixing.
The cartridge is designed for rapid insertion into a wide range of diameter and length boreholes. The system permits the placing of bolts in any position or angle above or below the horizon. Therefore, optimum bolt anchorage is possible in a wide range of concrete structures or rock strata by easily adjusting the length of the resin anchor zone.
No reaction takes place until the bolt is inserted and rotated through the cartridge, mixing the components and initiating the curing action.
The chemical nature of Lokset® cartridges allow the contents to be easily mixed, yet minimizing resin run out. The mixed resin fills the annulus around the bolt and creates a superior mechanical interlock with the surrounding strata. Standard “point” anchorages will be firmly interlocked with the substrate and bolt within minutes.
A combination of fast- and slow- setting cartridges and differing insertion strengths makes possible the simultaneous operation of anchoring, grouting and tensioning of rock bolts. The simplicity of this method of anchoring/grouting eliminates the need for cumbersome injection equipment.
Product advantages:
Lokset® was first used for strengthening of London Heathrow Airport's road access tunnel in 1963, to allow heavier planes to land. Since then, our product has become a world-leading solution for anchoring applications.
We provide you with solutions for both active and passive methods of rock support wherever you are.
Our products range from various steel and Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) bolts to steel arches, meshes and accessories.
We offer a full range of solutions that address the requirements for increased life cycle, ranging from stainless steel bolts to specialist coatings and new technologies. We offer multiple coating solutions for a wide range of bolts that increase bolt lifespan while maintaining bolt performance. Due to varying geological conditions and project applications, a single bolt is unlikely to meet all requirements.
Our grouting solutions are used for anchoring, bolting, backfilling, crack and void filling and as ventillation seals and standing support.
Our extensive portfolio ranges from standard pumpable to high-performance rapid-setting and high-strength grouts.
Our anchoring products include materials suitable for both manual and mechanised bolt grouting technologies. Our cementitious products are supplied pre-blended and pre-packaged for your ease of use.
From ultra-foaming to high strength and fast setting, our injection chemicals anchor, consolidate and control gases, water and strata in all types of ground conditions. Minova's injection chemicals consolidate fractured strata and prevent the ingress of water.
Minova's injection chemicals range include polyurethane (PUR), silicate and phenolic-based systems.
Our PUR products can be injected under high pressures and have a long history in preventing water ingress.
Our resin products are used where time is of the essence, allowing you to speed up the traditional 24-hour curing period that cementitious grouting systems require.
Our pumpable resin, CarboThix is used with our Self Drilling Bolts to form our One Step Bolting System. The immediate bonding of the resin makes it possible to load the bolts without leaving the borehole, making the bolting process safer, significantly quicker and more efficient.
Our pumpable cements were specifically designed to work in various construction projects including infrastructure.
The products are fast to apply and have high pumping rate to help you in the time-critical projects.
Our portfolio allows you to choose the right product depending on the size of your projects from new build to concrete repair.
The TekTrench System is a pumpable two-component expandable structural grout used to construct pillows and breakers that support oil & gas or utility pipelines.
This innovative technology is increasingly popular for waterproofing in low water pressure environments. In 2013, ITAtech published guidance on the design, specification and application of spray applied waterproofing membranes. Since then, spray applied waterproofing has been used on many high-profile projects. The ability of the sprayed membrane to naturally bond to wall surfaces means that linings can be designed as composite structures which is ideal for use in combination with sprayed concrete. The bond prevents the migration of water that may occur with other traditional membranes.
Thin Spray-on Liners (TSL) were originally developed in the mining industry to cope with rock burst. Minova engineered polymer modified cements are designed to provide fast-acting, highly ductile rock support and are ideal for immediate rock support in challenging ground conditions. Minova structural membranes are a high-performance alternative to conventionally sprayed concrete where fast-acting support is needed, small volumes are required, or space is limited. This makes Minova TSLs highly suitable for application behind the Front Support, in hard rock gripper TBMs, or in mining and tunnel repair projects.
Our TekCrete Fast was originally developed in conjunction with the University of Kentucky and U.S. Homeland Security to aid the work of the first responders and allow them to enter shock-damaged buildings. The result was a sprayable, super-fast setting and hardening structural shotcrete.
