Terracem

Terracem is a one component, finely-ground injection cement with a built-in dispersant used for grouting of fine sand and foundation consolidation.

Terracem grout is a one-component, ready-to-use injection cement. It is a sulfate-resisting very fine blended cement with an integral super- plasticizer, ground and classified to a low particle size grading (D98 less than 40 micron; D50 less than 7.5 micron).

Terracem injection cement is specifically designed to grout fine sands, consolidate foundations, seal off flowing water and establish grout curtains in dam construction and rehabilitation. Additional uses include grouting of tunnel and shaft linings, rehabilitation of existing tunnel structures, and waste site remediation.

TERRACOL SYSTEM

Other important uses include controlling water inflow into shafts and tunnels during excavations, pre-grouting of TBM/EPBM tunnel headings, formation of impervious grout curtains to contain pollution by hazardous waste and cut-off walls into alluvial deposits at dam sites.

The Terracol System is a completely water soluble process consisting of two components:

  • Terracol Component A - Colloidal silica suspension in the form of nano-particles
  • Terracol Component B - Hardener

The amount of Terracol Part B - hardener needed ranges from ~10:1 to 5:1 by weight depending on the desired gel time (ie. a 6.6:1 ratio results in an approximate 30 minute gel time at 70°F).

TERRASET SYSTEM

Terraset® grout is a low-viscosity, chemical grout system used for ground consolidation and stabilization of foundations and footings located on fine to medium sands. Other important uses include control of water inflow into shafts and tunnels during excavation, pre-grouting of TBM/EPBM tunnel headings, formation of impervious  grout curtains to contain pollution by hazardous waste, and cut-off  walls into alluvial deposits at dam sites.

The Terraset® System is a completely water soluble process consisting of two components:

  • Terraset® Component A - Sodium Silicate Grout
  • Terraset® Component B - Hardener

On a volume basis, the amount of Terraset® Component B - hardener needs to range from 10% to 15% based on the sodium silicate concentration. The higher hardener concentration gives the most durable gels. Gel time of the mixed grout solution is approximately 12 minutes at 70°F. The resulting gels are homogeneous, dense and well structured.
