Spanning 28 hectares, this landmark development on a former airport site incorporates 14 hectares of landscaped open space. Located within one of Hong Kong’s most densely developed urban areas, the project delivers a vital green oasis amid the city’s high-rise environment. This thoughtfully designed park provides a vibrant and sustainable environment for its 50,000 visitor capacity. A rich variety of trees now adorn the park, helping to enhance biodiversity, provide shade, and create a welcoming public realm. To support the successful establishment of this key feature to the park, a combination of 305, Platipus RF2P and RF3P tree kits were installed.
The below-ground anchoring system provides secure rootball stabilisation, while still allowing for natural root development. This project has demonstrated the importance of combining quality landscape design with proven tree establishment solutions. Platipus systems were supplied and supported locally by our Hong Kong distributor, LF Sam. Their technical expertise ensured the right tree anchoring system was delivered for the project requirements.
Together, the installation contributes to the long-term success of one of Hong Kong’s most significant landscaped public spaces.
