Product Details

Ekopur range is Minova’s two‑component, foaming polyurethane (PU) injection resin system engineered for rock consolidation, stabilisation and water control in coal mining. After mixing both components in volumetric ration 1:1 in the injection gun a rapid curing reaction is initialized. Low viscosity of mixture enables excelent penetration into fine fissures of rock, delivering strong adhesive bonds and high mechanical resistance once cured. The slightly foamed structure of the resin behaves semi-plastically under rock stress without brittle failure and can absorb rock movements. For different ground conditions and the need for a different injection range, 4 basic types are available: W, Hw, S and Hs.

Product Features

Two‑component foaming PU for rock consolidation and water stopping

Low‑viscosity

Penetrates into small fissures bellow 0,1 mm

Rapid curing reaction

Consolidation or sealing effect occurs in a short time due to the rapid curing reaction, in case of stopping the flowing water, the risk resin wash-out is avoided

Volumetric 1:1 mixing ratio

Easily controllable mixing ratio of components during pumping ensures constant final parameters of the cured resin. No need to prepare/activate the mixture - mixing takes place directly in the injection gun and only the amount that is required

High mechanical parameters

Unfoamed resin strengths reach values over 3 MPa (adhesive), up to 80 MPa (compressive) and up to 90 MPa (flexural)

Accommodates ground movements

The resin plastically deforms - yields when stressed by the surrounding rock, thus preventing the accumulation of stress in the rock while maintaining the consolidation and sealing effect
