STRATA STRAP

W shaped steel strap provide additional surface support between rock bolts. 280 mm wide, supplied in various lengths with multiple holes, available black or galvanised. 

 

MECHANICAL ANCHORS

Provides immediate point anchored load bearing support to installed rock bolts. Designed to be installed in specific hole diameters of 32mm and 45mm. Anchors are attached to the inserted end of rock bolts and are set in place by rotating the bolt to draw the anchor through the wedges. Available to suit various thread forms. Supplied black or galvanised. 

MINE NUTS

Rock bolt nuts are available for a range of bolt sizes and threads. Supplied black or galvanised. 

 

HANGER NUTS

A rock bolt nut and hanger loop assembly to enable hanging of services.

 

COUPLINGS

Round or hexagonal steel tubes used to join double ended rock bolts to enable longer length bolting in confined spaces. Can be supplied black or galvanised

 

PULL COLLARS

A round collar for use with Strata Bolts to enable pull testing. Available to suit all diameter Strata Bolts and can be supplied separately or included on specific number of bolts per pack. Available black or galvanised.

Coal Bolts

M24 Rock Bolts (also known as coal bolts) have been developed for use in point anchored or fully encapsulated roof and rib bolting applications. 

Manufactured with a rolled M24 x 3.0 mm pitch right hand thread and a ribbed surface profile. Suitable for high load transfer and easy resin and grout application. Supplied complete with an anti-friction washer, dome washer and hexagonal 36 mm drive nut. 

Recommended for use in 27 – 28 mm diameter holes. For >28mm diameter holes it is recommended to use Minova Secura bolt range.

Available in either standard “S” mild steel grade or extra high tensile “X” HSAC840 superior steel grade. X steel grade provides greater potential performance in conditions subject to stress corrosion cracking. Multiple lengths, diameters, pin and paddle configurations are available.

Cable Bolts

Cable Bolts incorporate much higher strength than traditional bolts with incomparable flexibility to adjust to the movement of the earth’s strata. We are an authorised distributor of Australian mining industry renowned Garford™ Cable Bolts. Garford products are manufactured to quality accredited standards ISO:9001 at facilities in WA, NSW and QLD.

The Garford cable bolt range includes:

Solid Bolts

The Secura Bolt is a solid reinforcing bar for use in strata environments of underground mines. Design includes a unique paddle system to improve resin mixing and resin film shredding. Consistent and efficient mixing of resin capsule components provide higher bond strength in large diameter boreholes  

The solid reinforcing bar is threaded at one end with a high strength R thread profile, including a modified rope thread with large root and small crest areas. A torque nut is attached at this end. Available in various lengths and can be supplied black or hot dip galvanised.

Friction Bolts

Friction bolts have been used internationally in mining for decades and are considered the simplest form of ground support available in metal mining. Compression of the high tensile steel "C" shape into a hole diameter smaller than the tube generates a load transfer from the steel to the rock. A steel ring is fixed to the collar end of the tube that will retain a plate on the installed tube to establish compressive force against rock.

Available in either black or hot dip galvanised. Variety of diameters (34 mm, 40 mm and 47 mm) and various lengths from 600 mm to 3,000 mm

Used in the development and production headings for immediate support with quick and easy installation.

Steel Mesh

Mesh provides surface support coverage to loose rock between installed rock bolts in underground mining excavations. Multiple configurations of mesh is available including numerous sheet sizes, apertures, wire diameters and black or galvanised wire.

Ausro straps are yielding straps which allow the straps to yield under load conditions allowing better load distribution between bolts. Ausro straps are used in unstable ground conditions where seismic activity is present, to improve surface support and ensure better connection between the surface support and bolts.
