Attenuation Basins

Changes in ground water levels can exert significant forces on attenuation basins (detention ponds), compromising structural integrity and long-term performance. Our Percussion Driven Earth Anchors (PDEA®) offer a proven solution to counteract these forces.

Anchors are installed beneath the basin using conventional equipment, then loadlocked to deliver an immediately quantifiable load. The anchor is then terminated against the base of the structure and concealed in concrete, preventing corrosion and eliminating the risk of ground water contamination through leaks. This system provides a permanent solution with a design life of up to 120 years.
